MARIA FORTE (nee VACCA) True happiness does not come from possessions or fame, it comes from the quality of your relationships with the people you love and respect. On July 3, 2002, at the age of 88, our beloved mother, Maria, passed away into the presence of her Lord and Saviour. Maria was predeceased by her husband Giuseppe. Mom will be sadly missed by her eight children, Lucia (Giovanni) Giancola, Anna (Sam) DiClemente, Carmine (Terri) Forte, Ida (Ottavio) Furlan, Maria (Jerry) Quiering, Nicole (Anna) Forte, Tonie Dakin, Aldo (Sherry) Forte; 26 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Antonietta Notte and Amelia Roarco of Niagara Falls; and brother Pasquale Vacca of Pittsburgh, PA, U.S.A. The Angels sang Amazing Grace As God reached down and touched her face He whispered to her soft and low, "Come with Me, it is time to go." She is no longer with us in our physical lives, But in our hearts and minds, she will be forever there. Prayers will be said on Sunday, July 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, July 8 at 10:00 a.m., also at Holy Rosary, with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding at the Eucharist. Entombment follows in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St. Pallbearers will be Angelo Giancola, Carlo Furlan, Gabriele Giancola, Romeo Furlan, Frank Quiering, Greg Partyka. The family would like to convey heartfelt thanks to Dr. Swain, Jennifer, Cath, Oncology, Palliative unit of Grace Hospital. Donations in Marias memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
